I installed dibbler-server on Debian Sid / ARM (QNAP TS-109).

The output of uname -r is:
Linux erde 2.6.26-1-orion5x #1 Sat Aug 9 21:19:51 UTC 2008 armv5tel

When I run dibbler-server and try to use it with a client I get the
following messages in the logfile:

2008.08.15 12:20:27 Server Debug Received 79 bytes on interface eth0/2
(socket=5, addr=fe80::20d:56ff:fe7a:2baf.).
2008.08.15 12:20:27 Server Error Invalid option (type=63232, len=256
received (msgtype=1). Message dropped.
2008.08.15 12:20:27 Server Notice Received SOLICIT on
eth0/2,TransID=0x1af7, 0 opts:, 0 relay(s).
2008.08.15 12:20:27 Server Warning Exactly 1 ClientID option required in
the SOLICIT message, but 0 received.Message dropp
2008.08.15 12:20:27 Server Notice Accepting connections. Next event in
4294967295 second(s).

This happens with dibbler-client and also with Windows Vista (built-in
DHCPv6 client). My client gets no IPv6-address.

When I switch to wide-dhcpv6-server and retry with dibbler-client and Vista
DHCPv6 seems to work as my client gets the right IPv6-address.

What could be the reason for this problem? How can it be solved?

If required I can provide a wireshark/tcpdump trace.

Thank you in advance,
Best regards,

Christian Andersen
